TRAVEL FLOWS

Year 2013 was great year for Europe. It managed to grow 5%, which is more than last years (+2.5%/year). Europe reached to 1,087 million arrivals, 29 million were international tourists.  568.2 million visitors in.

2013 Spain was number one in Europe. It had 34 million tourists just in seven months. Spain also grew 4% from last year 2012 what comes to international arrivals. Also results from Greece were positive. Greece has grown 9.2% and it got 7 million tourists between January to July. other Southern countries got positive results like Portugal and Malta. Northern Europe got good result too +3% and UK 4%. Central and Eastern Europe suprised very positively. e.g. Slovakia increased +19%.

Finally when we are talking about tourism, we must to remember business tourism. It brings lots of money to continent and countries. After tougher years finally it looks better for Europe to have more business tourism. It was expected to grow 3.3% over 2013, which would be great change compared previous years.
