HISTORY

Europes history is very colourful and it is full of interesting details and persons. Many dictators and gruesome fates. Maybe the most known incidents happened between years 1914-1945, when World War I and II were fought mainly in Europe. First World War begun in year 1914, when countries were having power struggle and every country tried to achieve their position as a strong and powerfull country. There was a lots of other reasons too, like political. After first World War, which ended in 1918, Europe had definetely changed. Empires in Europe dissappeared and countries in Europe started to get their own nationality and independency. After war European countries focused to heal from the war and build better infrastructure to badly damaged cities. There was still suspense in the air and when Adolf Hitlers Germany started invasion of Poland in year 1939, war was ready to be born again. World War II ended in 1945, when Germany surrendered . It was the most destructive war in worlds history and killed over 60 million people.

After World Wars Europe was badly damaged and cities needed perfect renewal. This was time when Europe started to regenerate. Europe transformed more coherent and different kins of unions started to form. After all this Europe became very safe and popular continent to travel. Of course there was still cold war going on, but it was more political and more between US and Soviet Union. Big cities like London and Paris started to attract more and more people to come and visit.

Even still there is intermittenly some political clashes, but European Union has been able to solve them very effectively. And it is very safe to travel Europe.
